Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives and exceed sales targets in the ocean freight segment.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities by prospecting potential clients, conducting market research, and analyzing industry trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their requirements, and offering value-added solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and pricing, to ensure efficient service delivery and timely response to client inquiries.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and quotations, showcasing our competitive advantages and customized solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with clients, while ensuring profitability and adherence to company policies.
  • Stay updated on market dynamics, competitor activities, and industry regulations to capitalize on emerging opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Provide regular reports and sales forecasts to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and action plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Relevant certifications or professional training will be advantageous.
  • Proven track record in sales, preferably within the ocean freight or logistics industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the ocean freight market, including key players, trade lanes, and industry trends.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CRM software, sales tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
