We seek a Cloud Security Engineer to bolster our security team, safeguarding our systems, networks, and data against cyber threats. Your main duty will involve implementing and overseeing security protocols essential for safeguarding Azure Cloud.
Primary responsibilities
• Plan and implement cybersecurity solutions aligning with business objectives and security needs.
• Continuously monitor cybersecurity measures' effectiveness, identifying and rectifying any shortcomings.
• Assess and appraise new cybersecurity technologies and solutions, suggesting enhancements to existing measures.
• Offer technical assistance and troubleshooting for cybersecurity incidents and inquiries.
• Guarantee the efficacy and optimal configuration of security controls.
• Play a pivotal role in executing security-related projects.
• Stay aware of emerging cyber threats.
• Supervise security vendors' and partners' SLAs.
Job requirement
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in cybersecurity, IT, or network administration, with a focus on security operations, incident response, or vulnerability management.
• Over 2 years' experience as an Azure Cloud Security Engineer.
• Proficient in Azure cloud identity and access management.
• Proficient in Azure security monitoring tools and controls.
• Expertise in securing data storage, applications, network, and cloud infrastructure.
• Skilled in cybersecurity technologies and tools like Azure Security Center and Microsoft Defender suite.
• Competency in scripting or programming languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash, or C++.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and Bank Negara Malaysia’s RMIT.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated passion for cybersecurity.
